SoundOff Surveys (SOS) is privately owned by Dufftech Development. It is developed and maintained by a single individual with limited resources but with hopes to serve a community need for sharing questions, answers, and opinions.
Why bother you may ask? There are so many social websites and survey systems out there, do we need one more? To my knowledge, most social websites thrive on people being able to interact and promote themselves. Although this type of online community is absolutely necessary and convenient but often may lead to many forms of abuse, censorship, frustration, and waisted time sifting through irrelevant information.
The aim with SoundOff Surveys is to give people a platform where they can ask questions about any day to day matter or complex issues and very quickly obtain answers that are meaningful, relevant and helpful.
The goal is to provide an easy-to-use platform where people can help each other by answering online surveys. It's a great tool to figure out where the community mindset is on any topic. This is NOT a discussion forum. It is a polling system for the entire online community to use. Surveys are multiple choice questions without comment sections to prevent trolling and judgement.
Privacy and anonymity are important in SOS. For that reason, survey creator's personal identity are always private and all answers remain anonymous. All topics are welcome (except when considered inappropriate by our Terms of Service).
Another important aspect of social interaction online is security. SOS has mechanisms to prevent abuse, bots, and trolls. No system can be fullproof but SOS will do everything possible to offer a safe, secure, trustworthy and fun environment for people to find relevant information quicly and easily.
